Make sure the user accounts on the home PC have passwords. If you have a home network and a PC that’s a member of a domain (for example, if you bring home a work laptop), you can open files and folders that are on your home PCs using your work laptop, but not the other way around. When you open items on your home PCs, you might need to enter the user name as home pc name\ user name and then provide the password.

To select libraries to share with all the members of your homegroup, swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings. To share with all the members of your homegroup, choose one of the Homegroup options. To share a file or folder with a particular person, choose that person's account. There are different Share with options depending on whether your PC is connected to a network and what kind of network it is. Choose an option in the Share with group.
